Jordan Cassell brought his 2009 Challenger SRT8 to us before it was even broken in good – only 475 miles. He had a great car – 425 HP 6.1L Hemi and all. But he wanted something more – something that stood out from the rest – and outran all the rest!

He had done his homework and pointed us exactly where he wanted to go. We started where we usually do on a project like this – with a baseline. She pulled an honest 371 HP at the wheel which calculates to about 430 motor. We did some base tuning first to see what the stock Hemi had in it and got her to 390 RWHP without turning a wrench.

Next came a set of High Horse Performance/Tony Bischoff ported heads and cam. It was a clean, straight forward install and back to the dyno. With a little more tweaking of the tune, these great pieces gave us another 35 HP and brought it to 425 RWHP. Knowing where we wanted to end up, we had chosen a blower cam grind which probably held the heads back a bit in NA mode but it still pulled strong.

Motor broken down; new cam going in.

New Bischoff heads on.

The next step was the new Techco supercharger capped off with a set of Kooks long tube headers, high flow cats and a Corsa 3” exhaust. This is really an impressive supercharger with a 3 liter displacement that definitely moves a lot of air.

And that awesome Techco strut tower brace really adds a nice touch to the overall look of the engine compartment.

Here’s how it played out on the dyno --

With less than 5 pounds of boost on the standard pulley, she still puts over 500 HP to the wheel.

Knowing this combination had lots more in it, we ordered the 2.71 inch pulley and installed it to kick the boost up to 7 psi. Here’s the results:

From a baseline of 373 RWHP to 545 RWHP on 7 psi of boost. That’s impressive!
