Blaine Remer’s 2007 GT500

Blaine brought his classic white/blue stripe GT500 to us about a year ago to start a step by step transformation into the car of his dreams. Starting with the Eibach Pro Plus supension package, we made sure this beast could handle all those ponies under the hood and gave it the right stance. To add both strength and adjustability to the front strut, we also added the Steeda upper strut mounts.

With the stance now correct, the car was ready for some new shoes – a set of the awesome Shelby Forged Alcoa wheels - same style wheel as on the KR and Super Snake - and wrapped in Nitto 555 tires.

To further enhance the already aggressive look of the GT500, Blaine had us add the KR style hood from Trufiber. This hood sports an active scoop funneling air directly to the cold air box and includes recesses for the original KR style hood locks which add a nice authentic touch.

The finishing stroke was installing the Shelby brake duct bezels in the lower grille. We’ve built a special jig to install these as the hole in the grille must be cut at an oblique angle and precisely to the size of the bezel in order to get the proper fit.

We were going to match the stripe on the new hood to the originals but Blaine thought it might look best stripeless so we removed all the striping. I have to say that we agree – the car looks awesome!
