The SVTOA Catoctin Mountain Cruise - 2008

Greg Cassidy and his volunteers from the Maryland Chapter of the SVTOA once again put on one of the best cruises of the year this Sunday. As before, we met at the State Farm Insurance Company building north of Frederick, MD. The route was similar to those in the past, with some changes to spend more time cruising and enjoying the beauty of fall in the mountains. This was a cruise and not a race but everyone still enjoyed the twists and turns of the Maryland country roads. There was plenty of winding roads, covered bridges and autumn foliage. In the middle, we stopped at the 7 Eleven below for a potty break.

Plus there was a cookout at the end at Cunningham Falls State Park. Great burgers and dogs! For all you who couldn’t make it, you definitely missed a great cruise on an absolutely beautiful day. Clear blue skies, sunshine, a little cool but a great day! Here’s a slide show with a few pictures on the road.

Looking forward to next year’s cruise. Don’t miss it!
